WOODEN CLOGS IN THE POLDER // HOUTEN KLOMPEN IN DE POLDER

Hollandse windmolens symbool of cliché?

I live in the Krimpenerwaard, and I enjoy a ride or a walk throug the polder. Narrow green meadows, wide ditches, de Krimpenerwaard is a wet country.
Cows, sheep, waterbirds and more and more birds of prey. When we cross the river Lek, we see the 17 windmills of Kinderdijk. Dutch windmills kept the polders dry for ages. Inspiration for many artists, famous all over the world. Those windmills symbol or cliché?
